Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of spotting several aircraft landing at and taking off from Toronto City Centre Airport. All of these planes were from Porter Airlines.
Using the fantastic FlightRadar 24 app, I was able to track and identify this airplane as it flew into the harbour and landed at the airport.
This particular aircraft was arriving from Boston, Massachusetts. It was built in March 2013. This app shows you a good variety of information such as age, serial number, registration, and country of registration.
If you subscribe to the Silver or Gold pain plans, you will also gain access to historical flights (90 days for Silver, 365 days for Gold). The history includes a replay of the path the aircraft took, and a graph indicating the flight level. Data may be exported to a .CSV file which displays time stamps, elevation, speed, etc.
As a fan of aviation, I think that FlightRadar 24 is the most valuable application for enthusiasts
